Production Process Liebherr LR11350 Sprocket 

The production of the Liebherr LR11350 sprocket begins with selecting high-grade 35SiMn alloy steel, chosen for its exceptional strength, hardenability, and ability to withstand the extreme torque loads generated by a 1,350-tonne-class crawler crane. The manufacturing process utilizes precision forging to significantly improve the material’s density and grain structure, eliminating internal defects common in standard castings. Following forging, each sprocket undergoes a rigorous quenching and tempering heat treatment to achieve an optimal balance between a wear-resistant outer surface and a tough, impact-resistant core. To further enhance durability, a 100% copper alloy bushing is integrated into the assembly to reduce friction at the rotating interface. Finally, the sprocket is CNC-machined to exact OEM tolerances to ensure flawless meshing with the track chain, passing strict dimensional and hardness inspections before shipment to guarantee reliable performance in the most demanding heavy-lifting environments.
